We said goodbye to another fantastic generation of missionaries of "La Gran Misión".   We enjoyed going to a session at the temple together and sharing each other's company for one last time.  

Decimos adios a otra generación increíble de misioneros de La Gran Misión.  Disfrutamos de ir a una sesión del templo juntos y disfrutar del último tiempo juntos.

El concilio de coordinación

Coordinating Council

Quarterly each of the presidents of the stakes, the mission president and the area seventy meet to discuss the affairs of the stakes.  The meetings lasts between 5-8 hours depending on when and where they go to sacrament meeting.  The host president fixes a dinner.  It was President Whitehead's turn to host the president's in April.  We fixed pumpkin waffles with buttermilk syrup, fruit, etc when they first arrived.  Later we fixed a brisket and baked potatoes and etc. with key lime pie for dessert.   Most importantly they talked about how to improve the church in our mission boundaries. 

Trimestralmente cada uno de los presidentes de las estacas, el presidente de la misión y el área setenta que es encargado de los presidentes se reúnen para discutir los asuntos de las estacas. las reuniones duran entre 5 a 8 horas se dependen de cuándo y dónde ir a reunión sacramental y los asuntos que tiene que discutir. El presidente anfitrión proporciona una comida.  Fue el turno del Presidente Whitehead en abril.  Hicimos waffles de calabaza naranja con jarabe de buttermilk, fruta y otras cosas cuando llegaron primero.   Más tarde hicimos brisket (carne de res con una salsa de barbecue), papas al horno y pie de limón para el postre.  El más importante es que hablaron de como mejorar la iglesia en los limites de la misión. 

Algo interesante es que 4 del 8 de los presidentes de las estacas son nuevos. Han cambiado 4 presidencias de las estacas en los últimos seis meses.  Puede ver la diferencia en los presidentes en la cena de Navidad aquí.

Something interesting is that 4 of the 8 presidents of the stakes are new.  They have changed 4 stake presidencies in the last 6 months.  You can see the difference en the presidents in the link above.  

We love these presidents more than anyone could ever know.  They are righteous, spiritual kind and good men of God.  It has been a great privilege to work with them and form friendships with them and their wives.
